Heading South!

Quick turn around this time! Just enough time to unpack and repack with slightly different clothing because this time I'm going south to a place called Palmer Station. It's on the peninsula of Antarctica and it will be warm (by my standards at least)!

I will be at Palmer from October until April, check out how warm it will be:

To get down there I will be flying down to Punta Arenas, Chile and getting on a ship to cross the Drake Passage, the roughest ocean on earth. Next post will be from Chile next week!

Eclipse and Redeployment

 It's been a fairly long and uneventful summer, sorry for not posting more but really there wasn't much interesting things to take pictures of or write about.

 Here is the eclipse as seen from summit through a welding mask.

Frosty morning. 

 We flew off the ice sheet and had a day in Kangerlussuaq. I went on a bike ride. We got high enough outside Kanger to see the ice sheet's edge. Pretty crazy view.

 Kanger was beautiful and it was a perfect day for a bike ride.

 Went to visit the sled dogs again and there were new puppies.
