A friend and I set up a time lapse camera box out on the corner of the science lab roof to catch the sun swinging around in circles behind the dark sector. It was extremely windy up on the roof which made it feel incredibly cold.
It's awesome to see new colors outside. It really is an amazing sight that is very difficult to stop looking at. We had a whole discussion last night about how lucky we are to see this sunrise. Out of the ~107 billon people that have ever lived on this earth, less than fifteen hundred people have witnessed this. It's still a little sad to see the stars fade away (there are only about five left in the sky now) but the sunrise is amazing. And my New Zealand trip is booked and semi-planned and that should be a really awesome time.
