It felt a bit like being an animal in a zoo, watching another zoo go by.

Beautiful day for boating!

Visited the weather station, it was almost completely buried in snow, it's been a big snow year. 

The views from the remote weather station site are pretty unparalleled. 

The same skua that is always in the Wauwermans greeted us and checked our work.

On the trip back we kept getting cut off by whales and had to take it really slow. This one popped up in-between the boats!  

The water calmed down and turned glassy for the last few miles. 

And more whales made an appearance!
