For the two days in open ocean swells ranged from 4 to 14 foot swells. Petrels and albatross and a few other types of birds continued to follow in our wake.
On the 3rd afternoon we started to see patches of sea ice which brought calmer seas.
It's crazy to imagine the first few explorers to come here and see this, in a wooden sail boat half the size of this ice breaker.
