Back across the Drake

On board the NBP pulling away from the new pier!!

The sun doesn't hit Palmer station at this time of year but the NBP is tall enough that the sun was hitting the boat as we pulled away from station.

We had a very short day, but at least it was light out for the prettiest part of the transit north.

The swell was making this ice berg rock under water.

Night time on the NBP is like living on a little town. It's huge compared to the LMG.

The bridge is really wide and the birds seem to like to draft it, which make them fly by the cat walk right behind the bridge, so I got to take way too many photos of giant petrels on the wing.

The NBP is a much bigger vessel so it rides a lot smoother, it was the best crossing I've ever had. Great tenth crossing of the Drake.
