The moon finally set again! We were have another few weeks of darkness, but not quite as dark as it was before this moon. Astronomical twilight started again on August 2nd.
As the sun starts to come up the rays of light will start hitting the upper atmosphere and change the color of the red aurora to look more purple. If we are lucky we might even see some auroras that look blue-ish because of this light interaction.
Slightly out of focus... but it was nice out yesterday, -70s (F), clear and not too windy for once.
