First day off

I showered (my second one since I got here!) and did laundry. I walked to the one of the buildings outside (ARO) to do my daily checks out there today. Brunch was great there was a cheese and fruit platter and omelets. Here is what I saved for afternoon snacks.
It was New Zealand cheese and very tasty. The pineapple and watermelon were especially tasty. I tried to make a snow angel on my walk back to the station. The building in the back ground is where one of my experiments is. That experiment is an extremely low frequency magnometer and it measures large fluctuations in the Earth's magnetic field, primarily resulting from perturbations in the sun's magnetic field. The building allow has carbon and particle counters, ozone monitors and all sorts of atmospheric observation equipment but I don't work with those.
I took a few pictures of my room.

And my hall way. There is a window to the outside behind me.
Dinner last night was a pasta bar, I had angel hair pasta and vegetable and goat cheese ravioli with pesto, tomatoes and a caramel chocolate tart with New Zealand cream. And orange juice. Delicious.
